καταδικάζω [page 325] A good example of this legal term, which preserves the same form and meaning in MGr, is afforded by the fragment of a legal code of iii/B.C., which begins ἐὰν δέ τις περὶ ἀδικήματος ἑ [τέ ]ρο [υ ] οἰκέτηι ὄντι δίκην γραψάμενος , ὡς ἐλευθέρωι , καταδικάσηται , ἐξέστω τῶι κυρίωι ἀναδικῆσαι ἐν ἡμέραις ε̄ , ἀφ᾽ ἧς ἂν ἡ εἴσπραξις γίνηται , καὶ ἂν καταδικασθῆι ἡ δίκη , τότε ἐπιδεκάτων ἢ ἐπιπεντεκαιδεκάτων ἀποτινέτω ὁ κύριος κτλ .
