The use of this subst. in Mat_8:20 = lodging-place, roost, is well illustrated by OGIS 229 .57 (iii/B.C.) where in an agreement between the inhabitants of Smyrna and of Magnesia, the former undertake to provide κατασκήνωσιν , shelter, for those who are about to migrate to Smyrna, in order that they may have a place to live in while they are building new houses for themselves
