BGU I. 242 .83 (time of Commodus) ἐξ οὗ φαίνεται ἡ κλοπή , ib. 321 .12 (A.D. 216) ἡ δὲ αἰτία τῆς κλοπῆς ἐφάνη τοῦ τόπου ὑπερῴου ὄντος ἐκ τοῦ ποδώματος διατρηθέντος τὴν κακουργίαν γεγονέναι . Cf. Syll 584 .5 (Smyrna i/B.C. ?) ἰ ]χθῦς ἱεροὺς μὴ ἀδικεῖ (ν ) μηδὲ σκεῦος τῶν τῆς θεοῦ ( sc. Atargatis) λυμαίνεσθαι , μηδὲ [ἐ ]κφέρειν ἐκ τοῦ ἱεροῦ ἐπ [ὶ ] κλοπῇ .
