μνήμη [page 415] For μνήμην ποιεῖσθαι in its ordinary sense of make mention (as perhaps also in 2Pe_1:15 : see Mayor ad l. ), we may cite the letter attributed to the dying Hadrian, P Fay 19 .10 , in which the Emperor announces his intention of making a simple and accurate statement of certain facts αὐτῶν τῶν πραγμάτων ἁπλῆν [. . . . . ἀκριβ ]εστάτην μνήμην ποιούμενος . Exx. of the subst. = memory, remembrance, are Chrest.
