Moulton & Milligan — Vocabulary of the Greek NT
μοσχοποιέω [page 418]
This compound verb, which in Act_7:41 takes the place of ἐποίησε μόσχον in Exo_32:4 , is claimed by Blass ( ad Ac l.c. ) as an example of the faculty which the Greek language never lost of forming new words. No other instance of it occurs in the LXX or in profane writers, but it follows the model of the Platonic εἰδωλοποιέω ( Rep. 605 C); cf. εἰδοποιέω (Plut. Alex , I), ἀγαλματοποιέω , εἰκονοποιέω .
