to suppose, to presume, to assume, to imagine, to believe, to think to regard something as presumably true, but without particular certainty In some languages the equivalent of ‘to suppose’ or ‘to presume’ is ‘to think somewhat’ or ‘to think perhaps’ or ‘to think a little.’ In some instances the lack of certainty is spelled out clearly as ‘to think, but not with certainty’ or ‘to think, but not to know’ or ‘to think, but not to be sure.’

This expression may also be translated as ‘where people customarily prayed.’
