from the sky the sky as a source or as a location from which implied movement takes place οὐρανόθεν in ACT 14:17 and ACT 26:13 is somewhat ambiguous, for both events may be regarded as involving a semantic derivative of οὐρανός[b] heaven (1.11) rather than οὐρανός[a] sky (1.5). In ACT 14:17 one might very well translate ‘he gives rain from heaven,’ since obviously the agent is God. Similarly, in ACT 26:13 the light might come from heaven, since the light is presumably regarded as a supernatural phenomenon.
