sit beside, occurs in the NT only in Luk_10:39 . Its use there may have suggested the words put into the mouths of the women at the tomb of Jesus in Ev. Petr. 11 τίς δὲ ἀποκυλίσει ἡμῖν καὶ τὸν λίθον . . . ἵνα εἰσελθοῦσαι παρακαθεσθῶμεν αὐτῷ καὶ ποιήσωμεν τὰ ὀφειλόμενα ;
