περιέρχομαι. With the use of this verb in 1 Tim 513 we may compare P Oxy VII. 1033! (A.D. 392) μόνοι περιερχόμενοι τὴν πόλιν καὶ κατοπτεύοντες, “going about the city alone and keeping watch.’” The verb occurs in connexion with an inheritance in PSI V. 452° (iv/a.D.) ἀνδράπ[οδ]α περιῆλθεν eis ἡμᾶς : cf. BGU IV. 1074° (A.D. 275) ἡσθῆναι ἐπὶ τῷ εἰς ἐμὲ περιεληλυθέναι τὴν τῶν ὅλων κηδεμονίαν. Vett. Val. Ρ. 40° ποικίλως τὸν βίον περιερχομένους.
