UBS Dictionary of the Greek New Testament
adjc. | -ον | θυμόομαι
25.69 · Attitudes and Emotions · Be Eager, Be Earnest, In a Devoted Manner
eager, eagerly, willing, willingly pertaining to being eager to do something It would be wrong to equate the meaning of πρόθυμος and προθύμως with ἑκούσιος, ἑκών, and ἑκουσίως (25.65), for πρόθυμος and προθύμως imply far more desire and eagerness, though both sets of terms are often translated in English as ‘willing’ or ‘willingly.’
