Lac. 11, 2; Isae. p. 60, 2; Polyb., Joseph., Plut., al.). 2. univ. fo announce beforehand (of the herald himself, Soph. El. 684): Ἰησοῦν Χριστόν, i. 6. his advent, works, and sufferings, pass. Acts iii. 20 Ree.; ri, Acts xiii. 24 (Ἱερεμίας τὰ μέλλοντα τῇ πόλει δεινὰ προεκήρυξεν, Joseph. antt. 10, 5, 1).
