The phrase χωρὶς προκρίματος , without prejudgment in 1Ti_5:21 , the only occurrence of πρόκριμα in the Greek Bible, occurs ter in P Flor I. 68 (A.D. 172), e.g. .13 μετέλα ]β̣ο̣ν [τ ]ο̣ύτου τὸ ἴσον ὡς [κ ]αθήκει χωρὶς προκρίμμ̣ατος μένοντός μοι τοῦ [λόγου . . .. For the corresponding verb (only Sap 7 .8 in Greek Bible), cf. P Oxy III. 472 .7 ( c. A.D. 130) θάνατον τοῦ ζῆν προκρείναντες , preferring death to life, and Syll .3 783 .20 (B.C. 27) τῆς κατ᾽ οἶκον ὠ [φε ]λίας τὸν δημόσιον κόσμον προκρείνας .
