P Giss I. 20 .24 (beg. ii/A.D.) (= Chrest. I. p. 124 ) ἀξιώσεις οὖν δίστιχον αὐτῶι γραφῆναι , ι̣[να ἀξίως σου καὶ τῶν θεῶν ἀόκνως προσέλθῃ , of worship to be performed at a private shrine of the Dioscuri. See also Dio Cassius lvi. 9 τοῖς θεοῖς προσερχώμεθα . The verb is similarly used of approach to a court in P Oxy VIII. 1119 .8 (A.D. 254) προσήλθομεν τῇ κρατίστῃ βουλῇ .
