1 ACT 2:23 It is possible to consider προσπήγνυμι as meaning merely ‘to nail to something.’ However, in ACT 2:23 it is used in an absolute sense of ‘to crucify,’ and therefore can be considered as essentially equivalent in meaning to σταυρόω.
