to touch to touch something lightly, normally with the finger or hand For another interpretation of προσψαύω in LUK 11:46, see 18.11. Note that προσψαύω[a] differs in meaning from προσψαύω[b] ‘to touch’ (18.11) in that it is understood in a hyperbolic sense of ‘to merely touch,’ while προσψαύω[b] implies ‘doing something to help’ or ‘doing something about it.’
