Moulton & Milligan — Vocabulary of the Greek NT

σκηνοποιός [page 577] in Biblical Greek is confined to Act_18:3 , but for the verb σκηνοποιέω see Sm Isa_13:20 ; Isa_22:15 , and for the subst. σκηνοποιΐα see Aq Deu_31:10 . In view of these passages there seems to be no reason to question the ordinary rendering tentmaker in Ac l.c. , but for explanations as to how the alternatives landscape-painter and shoemaker may have arisen, see notes by Ramsay and Nestle in Exp T viii. pp. 109, 153 f., 286.

Liddell-Scott — Intermediate Greek Lexicon

σκηνοποιός σκηνο-ποιός, όν [Etym: ποιέω] "tent-making":—as Subst. "a tentmaker", NTest.

STEPBible — Tyndale Abridged Greek Lexicon

σκηνοποιός, -όν (σκηνή, ποιέω), making tents; as subst., ὁ σ., a tent-maker: Act.18:3.† (AS)
