σπουδαίως, “‘zealously,’’ ‘‘earnestly’’: PSI VII. 742° (v/vi Α.}.) σπουδαίως μεταδοῦναί por διὰ γρ[αμμάτων Ὁ] τὸ τῆς ὑποθέσεως. The comp’? σπουδαιοτέρως in Phil 278 is to be taken as ἃ superlve ‘‘ with the utmost diligence ’’ in accordance with a common practice in late Greek: cf. Blass Gr. P- 33:
