This name is found in P Amh II. 152 .11, .22 (v/vi A.D.) : see also Preisigke Namenbuch s.v. Deissmann ( BS , p. 316) suggests that the use of Συμεών (for Σίμων ) in Act_15:14 may be due to the solemn character of James s speech.
