(= I. p. 117) διάσωσόν μου . . ἀπὸ πάσης συνοχῆς , Kaibel 1040 .23 σ [υν ]οχή τι [ς ἔσται σοι κακῶν τε καὶ καλῶν ], and Vett. Val. p. 2 .8 κρυβάς , συνοχάς , δεσμά , πένθη , et saepe . An early ex. of the noun is afforded by P Lond 354 .24 ( c . B.C. 10) (= II. p. 165) where the reference is apparently to imprisonment.
