σωρεύω occurs in 2Ti_3:6 in the sense of overwhelm : see Field Notes , p. 217, and cf. Ep. Barn , iv. 6 ἐπισωρεύοντας ταῖς ἁμαρτίαις ὑμῶν .
The subst. σωρός , a heap, is common in the papyri and ostraca, especially with reference to corn, e.g. P Flor III. 330 .7 (A.D. 119) αὐτῆς (πυροῦ ) σωροῦ (ἀρτάβαι ) ῑ .
