quickly, hurriedly, swift, speedy pertaining to a very short extent of time In JHN 11:29 ταχύ probably refers to the short period of time between Mary‘s hearing about Jesus and her getting up to go out to meet him. It is, of course, also possible to interpret ταχύ in JHN 11:29 as referring to the rapidity of Mary‘s movement in getting up and going out to meet Jesus.
Again, in JHN 13:27 the emphasis is upon the brief period of time before Judas is to do what he had set out to do.

(B.c. 2) καλῶς δὲ γέγονεν τὸ ταχὺ αὐτὸν ἐλθεῖν, ὑφηγήσεται γάρ σοι, ‘it is well for him to come quickly, for he will instruct you” (Edd.), and Βαϊ II. 423” (soldier’s letter to his father—ii/A.D.)
