τήκω [page 633] melt, pass, melt away, as in 2Pe_3:12 where, according to Hort ( Notes .2 , p. 103) τήκεται ( ΰ ABKL) may be a corruption for the rare τήξεται : cf. Hippocrates vi. p. 110, ed. Littrι. In C. and b . i. p. 150 No. 45 ἐτήκω κολαθεσα ἑπὸ τοῦ θεοῦ , Ramsay notes that ἐτήκω is probably for τήκομαι . . . waste away from fever or other formless disease.
