Lob. ad Phryn., p. 342f; (Winers Grammar, 559 (519f); Buttmann, § 150, 19)): Heb_13:13 (Isa_3:10; Isa_5:13); as in the better writings, after the first word: Luk_20:25 (yet T Tr WH put it first here also); 1Co_9:26 and Rec. in Jas_2:24 (Wis_1:11 Wis_8:9; 4Ma_1:13; 4Ma_1:15 ff).

τοίνυν [page 637] therefore. For τοίνυν after the first word of the sentence as in 1Co_9:26 (and in classical usage), cf. P Oxy III. 471 .44 (speech of an advocate ii/A.D.) συνφέ [ρει τοί ]νυν τοὔλαττο [ν μόν ]ον ὁμολογεῖν , it is best therefore to acknowledge only the lesser fault, ib . X. 1252 Verso .18 (A.D. 288 95) αὐτὸς τοίνυν ἐγώ , ἡγ [ε ]μὼν κύριε , ὑ [πογυώ ]ς̣ χειροτονη [θείς , I myself therefore, my lord praefect, having been recently appointed (Edd.), and ib . VI. 902 .10 ( c . A.D. 465) ἐπὶ τοίνυν οἱ ἔκδικοι ἐπενοήθησαν ἐν ταῖς πόλεσειν , therefore, since advocates have been devised in the cities (Edd.).
