The adj. is very common. P Hib I. 51 .4 (B.C. 245) πρι ]α̣μενος̣λάμβανε ἀρεστὰς̣τ [ι ]μ̣ω̣ν̣ ὑπογεγραμμένων , accept, if satisfactory, and buy at the prices below written (Edd.). P Grenf II. 24 .14 (B.C. 105) παρεχέσθω ( sc. τὸν οἶνον ) μόνιμον καὶ ἀρεστὸν ἕως Ἀθὺρ ᾱ , wine that will keep and be satisfactory till Athyr 1st.
