Child Salvation

2 sermons

Child salvation is a profound theme woven throughout Scripture, emphasizing God's love and grace towards the youngest among us. Jesus, in Matthew 19:14, explicitly invites children to come to Him, stating, 'Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.' This invitation underscores the inherent value and significance of children in God's eyes. Furthermore, in Acts 2:39, the promise of salvation is extended not only to adults but also to their children, affirming that God's covenant encompasses the entire family. The importance of prayer in this context is highlighted in James 5:16, which encourages believers to pray fervently for one another, including our children, as we seek God's intervention in their lives. In addition, Proverbs 22:6 instructs parents to train up their children in the way they should go, ensuring that they are grounded in faith from an early age. As believers, we are called to intercede for our children, as seen in the heartfelt cry of 'Lord! Save Our Children!' This reflects our deep desire for their spiritual well-being and eternal security, reminding us of the hope found in Romans 10:13, 'For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.' Thus, child salvation is not only a theological concept but a vital aspect of our communal and familial faith journey.
