Complete Consecration

1 sermons

Complete consecration is a profound biblical principle that calls believers to dedicate their entire lives to God, embodying the essence of Romans 12:1, which urges us to present our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God. This act of total surrender is not merely a one-time event but a continual process of aligning our will with God's purpose, as articulated in Philippians 2:13, where it is God who works in us to will and to act according to His good purpose. Jesus exemplifies this complete dedication in His prayer at Gethsemane, stating in Matthew 26:39, 'Not as I will, but as you will,' demonstrating the heart of consecration that seeks to fulfill God's desires above our own. Moreover, in 1 Thessalonians 5:23, Paul emphasizes the sanctification of the whole person—spirit, soul, and body—highlighting that true consecration encompasses every aspect of our being. As believers, we are called to pursue this ideal, recognizing that while we may struggle with imperfect consecration, the grace of God, as seen in 2 Corinthians 12:9, is sufficient for us, enabling us to grow in our commitment to Him.
