Exaltation of Jesus

0 sermons

The exaltation of Jesus is a central theme in Christian theology, referring to the elevation of Jesus Christ to a position of supreme authority and glory following his resurrection and ascension. As stated in Philippians 2:9-11, God highly exalted Jesus and gave him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow. This exaltation is also hinted at in Psalms 110:1, where God says to Jesus, "Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool," emphasizing Jesus' divine authority and power. Through his exaltation, Jesus is now seated at the right hand of God, interceding for believers and reigning as Lord of all, as affirmed in Hebrews 1:3, where Jesus is described as the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being.
