Future Judgment

1 sermons

Future judgment is a profound and essential aspect of biblical theology, emphasizing God's ultimate authority and justice. Scripture reveals that every individual will stand before the judgment seat of Christ, as articulated in 2 Corinthians 5:10, where it states that we must all appear before Him to receive what is due for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. This solemn reality is echoed in Hebrews 9:27, which asserts that it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment. Jesus Himself teaches about the separation of the righteous and the wicked in Matthew 25:31-46, illustrating the final judgment where the faithful are welcomed into eternal life, while the unrepentant face eternal separation from God. Furthermore, the apostle Peter encourages believers in 2 Peter 1:2-3 to grow in grace and knowledge, reminding them of the importance of living righteously in anticipation of this coming judgment. As believers reflect on these truths, they are called to live in light of eternity, understanding that their actions have eternal consequences, and to share the hope of salvation through Christ, who offers redemption from the coming judgment.
