The concept of God's rights in the biblical context refers to the sovereign authority and dominion that God possesses over all creation, as declared in Psalms 24:1, which states, "The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it, the world and all who live in it." This notion is rooted in the idea that God is the Creator and Owner of the universe, and as such, He has the inherent right to govern and judge all things, as emphasized in Romans 9:21, where it is written, "Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use?" Furthermore, the Bible teaches that God's rights are often exercised in conjunction with His love and mercy, as seen in Psalms 103:13, which notes that "as a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him."
