Holy Passion

2 sermons

Holy passion is a fervent devotion and zeal for God that compels believers to live out their faith with intensity and purpose. This divine fervor is exemplified in the life of the Apostle Paul, who, as he writes in Philippians 3:13-14, presses on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Such passion is not merely emotional; it is rooted in a deep understanding of God's love and grace, as seen in Romans 5:8, where Paul reminds us that God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Holy passion drives believers to fulfill the Great Commission, as Jesus commands in Matthew 28:19-20, urging us to go and make disciples of all nations. Furthermore, this passion is reflected in our love for others, as Jesus teaches in John 13:34-35, where He calls us to love one another as He has loved us. In our pursuit of holy passion, we are reminded of the importance of aligning our hearts with God's will, as expressed in Colossians 3:23-24, where we are encouraged to work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men. Ultimately, holy passion transforms our lives and empowers us to be effective witnesses of Christ in a world that desperately needs His light.
