Jesus Mediator

1 sermons

In 1 Timothy 2:5, we learn that 'there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus.' This profound role is essential for understanding how we can approach a holy God, as our sin creates a barrier that we cannot overcome on our own. Hebrews 4:14-16 encourages believers to 'approach God’s throne of grace with confidence,' knowing that Jesus, our high priest, empathizes with our weaknesses and intercedes on our behalf. Furthermore, in John 14:6, Jesus declares, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me,' emphasizing that He is the exclusive pathway to reconciliation with God. The sacrificial death of Jesus, as described in Romans 5:8, demonstrates His love for us, providing the means by which we can be justified and restored. Through His mediation, believers are assured of access to God's grace and mercy, allowing us to stand before Him not in fear, but in the confidence of His love and forgiveness.
