Righteous Exaltation

1 sermons

Righteous exaltation is a profound theme woven throughout the Scriptures, illustrating the divine promise that those who pursue righteousness will ultimately be lifted up by God. In Psalms 37:34, we are encouraged to 'wait for the Lord and keep His way; He will exalt you to inherit the land.' This promise reflects the assurance that God honors those who live according to His will. Similarly, Jesus teaches in Matthew 5:10-12 that the persecuted for righteousness' sake are blessed, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven, indicating that earthly trials will culminate in heavenly exaltation. The Apostle Paul echoes this sentiment in Romans 8:18, where he states that 'the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.' Furthermore, James 4:10 reminds believers to 'humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you,' emphasizing the divine principle that humility precedes honor. Ultimately, the righteous are not only ennobled in their earthly walk but are also promised an eternal exaltation in the presence of God, as seen in 1 Peter 5:10, where it is declared that after we have suffered a little while, the God of all grace will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish us.
