World Mission

1 sermons

World Mission is a divine mandate rooted in the Great Commission, where Jesus commands His followers to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20). This call to evangelism reflects God's heart for humanity, as seen in John 3:16, where it is revealed that God desires all to come to Him. The Apostle Paul emphasizes the importance of preaching the Gospel to every creature, declaring in Romans 10:14-15 that faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. The mission field is not limited to distant lands; it encompasses both local and global outreach, as the early church demonstrated in Acts 1:8, where believers were empowered by the Holy Spirit to be witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Furthermore, the church is called to embody the love of Christ, as instructed in 1 John 4:19, to love others as He has loved us. Engaging in world mission is not merely an option for Christians but a vital expression of our faith, as we participate in God's redemptive plan for all creation.
