15 Bible Verses on Being Offended

15 verses

Scripture teaches that being easily offended can hinder relationships and spiritual growth. The book of Proverbs advises that overlooking an offense is a sign of discretion and wisdom, while Ecclesiastes cautions against taking offense at every word. In the New Testament, James encourages believers to be slow to anger and quick to listen, and Jesus warns that taking offense can be a stumbling block to faith, as seen in Luke. Matthew's Gospel also provides guidance on how to address offenses in a constructive manner, emphasizing the importance of humility and forgiveness.
