6 Bible Verses on Children and Prayer

6 verses

Scripture teaches that children are a precious gift from God, and parents are encouraged to pray for them and teach them to pray. In Proverbs, wisdom is imparted to parents to train their children in the ways of the Lord, as seen in Proverbs 22:6, and to find security in their faith, as noted in Proverbs 14:26. The example of Job, who regularly offered sacrifices and prayed for his children, demonstrates the importance of intercession for them, as recorded in Job 1:5. Jesus' promise in John 15:7, that God will answer prayers offered in His name, is a comfort to parents as they pray for their children's well-being and spiritual growth, a blessing also acknowledged in Psalms 127:3.
