12 Bible Verses on Daily Christian Living

12 verses

As followers of Christ, believers are called to live a life that honors God in every aspect. Ephesians 5:1 encourages believers to imitate God, living a life of love and obedience, while Romans 8:8 reminds them that those who are in Christ are no longer controlled by their sinful nature. According to Ephesians 2:10, believers are created in Christ to do good works, which are a natural outflow of their faith. The letters of 1 John, particularly 1 John 1:7 and 1 John 2:1-2, offer guidance on walking in the light and persevering in faith, even when sin occurs, with Jesus Christ as their advocate.

Be imitators of God, therefore, as beloved children,
Those controlled by the flesh cannot please God.
For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life.
My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate before the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He Himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
Whatever you do, work at it with your whole being, for the Lord and not for men,
If we say we have fellowship with Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
Be kind and tenderhearted to one another, forgiving each other just as in Christ God forgave you.
Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith in God,
I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.
Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
For God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable.
