In a life of devotion to God, embracing His will and ways is essential. The Psalms express a deep longing to be close to God, as seen in the psalmist's declaration of trust and dependence in Psalms 73. The prophets, such as Ezekiel, urge people to turn away from sin and embrace a new heart, while Ecclesiastes notes the importance of timing in embracing or letting go. As believers put on the whole armor of God, as described in Ephesians, they are able to stand firm in their faith, and Paul's letters to Timothy encourage young believers to set an example in their own embracing of godly values.

And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray in the Spirit at all times, with every kind of prayer and petition. To this end, stay alert with all perseverance in your prayers for all the saints.
Let no one despise your youth, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
If anyone desires to do His will, he will know whether My teaching is from God or whether I speak on My own.

Now faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the certainty of what we do not see.
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you encounter trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Allow perseverance to finish its work, so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
