18 Bible Verses on Forgiving Your Enemies

18 verses

In the face of persecution or wrongdoing, believers are called to respond with kindness and compassion. Jesus teaches His followers to love and pray for their enemies, as seen in Matthew 5:44 and Luke 6:27, demonstrating a radical approach to conflict resolution. The apostle Paul expands on this theme in Romans 12:17-21, urging Christians to overcome evil with good and not take revenge. Additionally, Ephesians 4:31-32 instructs believers to let go of bitterness and instead choose to forgive, just as God has forgiven them, as emphasized in Ephesians 4:32.
