16 verses

Scripture warns against trusting in wealth or material possessions, emphasizing the importance of contentment and trust in God's provision. Hebrews 13:5 reminds believers that God will never leave or forsake them, while 1 Timothy 6:9 cautions that those who crave wealth can fall into temptation. Proverbs 13:11 teaches that wealth gained quickly will dwindle, but the Bible encourages believers to trust in God's provision, as expressed in Philippians 4:19. By following the Golden Rule, as taught in Matthew 7:12, believers can cultivate a heart of generosity and trust in God's goodness.
