8 Bible Verses on Gods Children

8 verses

In the biblical narrative, children are a precious gift from God, and parents are entrusted with the responsibility of raising them in the ways of the Lord. As Proverbs 22:6 and Ephesians 6:4 emphasize, training and discipline are essential for a child's spiritual and emotional development. The Psalms, particularly Psalms 127:3-5, celebrate the joy and blessing of children, while Jesus' words in Matthew 19:14 remind us of the importance of welcoming and valuing them. Ultimately, as Psalms 127:3 affirms, children are a heritage from the Lord, and parents are called to nurture and guide them in faith and wisdom.

Now people were bringing the little children to Jesus for Him to place His hands on them, and the disciples rebuked those who brought them. But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and told them, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them! For the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” And He took the children in His arms, placed His hands on them, and blessed them.
