13 Bible Verses on Hard Times

13 verses

In times of difficulty and struggle, the Bible offers comfort and reassurance to believers. The prophet Isaiah reminds us that God is always with us, saying "do not be afraid, for I am with you" (Isaiah 41:10), a promise echoed in Joshua's encouragement to be strong and courageous. The New Testament letters, such as James and Romans, also address hard times, with James urging believers to persevere under trial (James 1:12) and Romans highlighting the eternal perspective that helps us endure (Romans 8:18). Additionally, Philippians teaches us to respond to hard times with prayer and thanksgiving, trusting in God's peace to guard our hearts.
