In the midst of life's challenges, the Bible teaches that a deep and abiding joy is available to believers. According to Proverbs, a joyful heart is a source of health and well-being, while a crushed spirit can lead to physical decline. The apostle Paul writes in Romans and Philippians about the importance of rejoicing in hope and in the Lord, encouraging believers to be joyful in their faith, as seen in Philippians 4:4 and Romans 12:12. Psalms 28:7 expresses the confidence that comes from trusting in God, and Romans 15:13 prays for believers to be filled with joy and peace.
