8 Bible Verses on Man and Woman

8 verses

In the beginning, God created humanity in His own image, forming both male and female to reflect His character and nature, as seen in Genesis 1:27. The creation account in Genesis 2 highlights the unique roles and relationships between men and women, with Eve being created as a suitable helper for Adam, and the two becoming one flesh in marriage, as stated in Genesis 2:24. The Bible teaches that men and women are interdependent, with the apostle Paul explaining the order of authority and submission in 1 Corinthians 11:3. In Ephesians 5:22-33, Paul describes the beautiful picture of mutual love and respect that should characterize the relationship between husbands and wives, with husbands loving their wives as Christ loves the church.

So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.
The LORD God also said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make for him a suitable helper.”
But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.
Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, His body, of which He is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her to sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to Himself as a glorious church, without stain or wrinkle or any such blemish, but holy and blameless. In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. Indeed, no one ever hated his own body, but he nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church. For we are members of His body. “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” This mystery is profound, but I am speaking about Christ and the church. Nevertheless, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
Nevertheless, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
Marriage should be honored by all and the marriage bed kept undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.
There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
