8 Bible Verses on Murderers

8 verses

Those who take the life of another are condemned in Scripture, with Revelation 21:8 warning that murderers will be excluded from eternal life. The apostle Paul teaches in Romans 12:19 and 13:4 that vengeance belongs to God, and that the state has authority to punish evil, including taking life. Jesus Himself cautions against violent retaliation in Matthew 26:52-54, emphasizing the importance of non-retaliation. Additionally, Colossians 3:5 urges believers to put to death earthly desires, including those that lead to harm and violence, reflecting a heart transformed by God's love.
