7 Bible Verses on Over Confident

7 verses

In the midst of trials and challenges, believers are encouraged to trust in God's power and presence. Through the apostle Paul's writings, particularly in Philippians, we see the importance of confidence in God's ability to complete the good work He has begun in us, as stated in Philippians 1:6. Isaiah 41:10 reminds us that God is always with us, and we can confidently say, as Paul did in Philippians 4:13, that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. This confidence is not self-reliance, but rather a humble trust in God's grace and mercy, as expressed in Hebrews 4:16 and Proverbs 3:26.

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will surely help you; I will uphold you with My right hand of righteousness.
Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
for the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from the snare.
So we say with confidence: “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”
Have I not commanded you to be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
