In God's eternal plan, those who endure trials and persevere in their faith will receive a special blessing. According to James 1:12, the one who stands firm under trial will be blessed, while Matthew 5:12 and 16:27 teach that those who suffer for Christ's sake will be rewarded in heaven. The apostle Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 5:10 that each person will receive what is due for the things done while in the body, and Revelation 22:12 reaffirms that God will give to each person according to their deeds.
