In the body of Christ, believers are called to serve one another in love, using their unique gifts to build each other up. As 1 Peter 4:10 and Romans 12:10 teach, this service is a key expression of Christian love and humility, reflecting the example of Jesus Himself, who came not to be served but to serve, as seen in Mark 10:42-45. The apostle Paul emphasizes the importance of serving one another in Galatians 5:13 and encourages mutual encouragement and support in 1 Thessalonians 5:11. By serving one another, Christians demonstrate their commitment to the well-being of their brothers and sisters in Christ.

As good stewards of the manifold grace of God, each of you should use whatever gift he has received to serve one another.
For you, brothers, were called to freedom; but do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh. Rather, serve one another in love.
So Jesus called them together and said, “You know that those regarded as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their superiors exercise authority over them. But it shall not be this way among you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be the slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Outdo yourselves in honoring one another.
Therefore encourage and build one another up, just as you are already doing.
Be kind and tenderhearted to one another, forgiving each other just as in Christ God forgave you.
Beloved, let us love one another, because love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
