20 Bible Verses on Spiritualism

20 verses

Engaging with spirits or mediums is strongly condemned in Scripture as a form of idolatry and a rejection of God's guidance. In Isaiah 8:19, the prophet warns against seeking guidance from the dead, while Leviticus 19:31 and 20:6 explicitly prohibit consulting mediums and spiritists. The apostle John cautions believers to "test the spirits" in 1 John 4:1, emphasizing the need for discernment in a world where false spirits and prophets abound. Deuteronomy 18:9-13 also warns against occult practices, urging the people of God to instead seek wisdom and guidance from Him alone.
