14 Bible Verses on Stupidity

14 verses

Foolish behavior and lack of wisdom are condemned throughout Scripture. According to Proverbs, those who hate discipline and despise knowledge are considered foolish, as seen in Proverbs 12:1. The book of Romans also critiques those who claim to be wise but are actually foolish, as stated in Romans 1:22. The wisdom literature of Proverbs, such as chapters 14, cautions against associating with fools and warns of the dangers of foolishness, while Psalms 14:1 laments the foolishness of those who deny God's existence. Wisdom and discernment are presented as essential virtues in the biblical tradition.
