14 Bible Verses on Teams

14 verses

Scripture teaches that individuals are not meant to work alone, but rather in community with others. In Genesis, God says it is not good for man to be alone, highlighting the importance of companionship and partnership. The concept of teamwork is further emphasized in Proverbs, which notes that iron sharpens iron, illustrating how individuals can help each other grow and improve. The New Testament, particularly in Romans and Ephesians, encourages believers to work together in harmony, while Philippians urges them to consider others' interests and needs above their own, fostering a sense of unity and cooperation.

As it is, there are many parts, but one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, “I do not need you.” Nor can the head say to the feet, “I do not need you.” On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and the parts we consider less honorable, we treat with greater honor. And our unpresentable parts are treated with special modesty, whereas our presentable parts have no such need. But God has composed the body and has given greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its members should have mutual concern for one another.
Therefore we ought to support such men, so that we may be fellow workers for the truth.
We who are strong ought to bear with the shortcomings of the weak and not to please ourselves.
